Well, it is that time again. I am staying in Ostia and my new companion is going to be Sorella Hanson. Sorella Barazoto is going one area over to Rome 3, where the church building used to be a prison! It is the ghetto of Rome. Pray for her. haha
I am really excited to start a new transfer, this area has so much potential and I cannot wait to unlock it. Our mission president shook EVERYTHING up this time. Almost every city has at least one companionship getting blown out (whitewashed is what they say in America I think? Where both companions leave?), and all the trainers are getting blown in. It is CRAZY. I am the only one in Ostia who is staying. Both the anziani are going; one as a “blown in” district leader, the other as a “blown in” zone leader in NapoIi, which is where he started his mission. Just so crazy! Other than that there isn't much news.
I am happy. I am just looking forward to the next transfer and all the potential in this area. I am looking forward to being as 100% obedient as I possibly can and to working more effectively. I am ready to step it up and be my best self. I am so grateful for the emphasis that we have on that idea in the mission. There are so many missions that I feel micromanage the behavior of the missionaries, and while there are some people who need that, I am glad that we are more of a "I give them correct principles and they govern themselves" kind of mission. I feel like that’s allowing me to be more aware of the spirit helping me want to be obedient, and discerning whether or not I am supposed to do a certain thing. And I have decided that there are ways that I can improve. I know that if I want the blessings of the Lord in my life and in the work here, I have to be obedient, and that obedience is my own choice. I am really honestly looking forward to improving myself this transfer. I am really hoping to get a little more outside myself and focus on the needs of the people around me. I am also really grateful for the chance to learn how to use the Atonement for everything and how to desire to be obedient. It has been a great lesson this transfer.
As far as our work, we got a new investigator this week! She is the mother of one of our members, and she wants to know why he has changed so much since he joined the church. She is already friends with a few of the members, and it is technically a member referral, so it is pretty much a "The District" situation. I am really excited for her!
Sorry there isn't more to say, I just run out of time so fast and we are going to Rome today to see the missionaries who are leaving and we are going to the Bone Church! It should be super cool :) I also get to see Sorella Margheriti and her greenie today! I am really excited :)
Vi auguro una buona settimana! vi voglio bene!!!! (Have a good week. I love you!)
