Week 43: What even happened this week

Emailed April 20th:

Well, another transfer begins here in beautiful Ostia. I am doing ok, a little trunky for some strange reason, but also dealing with it. Just trying to stay focused has gotten hard in the last few weeks, and it sucks because I want to make every second of my mission count. I know that Heavenly Father knows what is best for me and I trust that He inspires my mission president, but I was really looking forward to a change for this transfer. I will be ok, though....speriamo (hopefully) :)

This week flew and dragged by simultaneously. I don't even remember what happened. We taught lessons like normal, we spent a lot of time with Ottavio (RM who just got home from London South mission. He knows where Portsmouth is! :) He has come to a lot of our lessons this week, he's a really fun kid. (Someone accept his friend request on Facebook for me!) :)

We said goodbye to Danielle this week, she is the recent convert who was here for work for a few weeks. She is so cool, and she just has a good head on her shoulders. It was good to spend some time talking to her about real life and such, I know Sorella Hansen really appreciated that.

We saw Marie Danielle a lot this week...apparently she is like a billionaire from winning a bunch of lotteries but she can't touch her money because all her ID docs got stolen somehow. But she has a baptismal date and she has come to church twice. So that's kind of cool :)

We also helped with a move all day on Saturday for the bishop's parents. They didn't want the sisters' help at first, but we forced it on them and then ended up getting left at the new palazzo with the anziani and two other people to move everything from the lobby to the 4th floor so that we could get it all in the new apartment. Best part about not being as chubby is that I was actually useful! Haha.
We also got to see the Carbone family last night and break all their boxes with a lot of love so that they understand why we come to teach them and what it could mean for their family. They really want to start reading the book of Mormon, they actually just moved but they had put the copies of the BoM that we gave them right by the door on the counter. Nando said it was so that there would be a good spirit from the moment you walk in the door, and to protect their home :) I love them so much. I can't wait for them to get baptized ;)

Alright, well I have to go, so I will hear from everyone later :) Love you, have a great week, I know this email sounds a little lame but I promise that I am ok! :D

Love,
Sorella Decker
