Week 20: Zone Conference and Italian Love

Italian love as in I LOVE ITALIANS.

We had a good week. I love Sorella Margheriti  sososososo much!!! She and I just get along so well, and it is really nice to have fresh ideas and experiences to draw from. Something we are starting this week is an idea from Zone Conference (which was AWESOME) called the F.L.U.S.H. (acronym courtesy of the zone leaders): Finally Look Up Some Homies. Basically, the cell phone for each area is filled with people filed under ''C'' for contact, people who have met the missionaries and who gave us a phone number but never got taught anything. So we are going to go through and call all the people, ask them for appointments, and then get the phone numbers out of the phone and into the area book. We've already started and we have some really great appointments planned! I am super excited for this new week.

Favorite miracle of the week: there are two. Sorella Margheriti passed the drive test, so we can use the car again!! Hurray!! And we met an inactive member of the church last night hanging out at our friend's bar. Bars in Italy are a lot different than they are in America. Nobody panic. We were there for like 2 hours just talking to the people who came in. He was baptized like twenty something years ago and then stopped coming to church because of an issue with a member or something...he was a little drunk, speaking in Roman dialect, and he has a mental handicap. I was proud for understanding as much as I did! I talked about Christ’s love and His Atonement, we watched the bible video from the church called ''Grazie a Lui'' (Because of Him?) and we are going to go see him again this week! It was really cool. The barista from the bar is our friend, and we met her compagno and one other friend who seem interested. Yesterday was just a really good day. We had stake conference at the GrandHotel outside the park at Via Borghese. It was beautiful. We taught, we contacted, and I realized how incredible Italian members of the church are. They are so strong in their faith, and I want to be best friends with all of them!
